The Wild Blue Herons bring a tight, soulful mix of jazz, pop, funk, and gospel led by husband-and-wife team Bill Sample and Darlene Cooper. Bill is a BC Entertainment Hall of Famer and longtime musical director for David Foster, with credits that include Celine Dion, Ray Charles, and Kenny Loggins. Darlene adds her own jazz, soul, and gospel power, shaped by collaborations with Eric Bibb, Marcus Mosely, Dee Daniels, and more.
Their live show moves from soft ballads to groove-heavy, horn-driven arrangements that echo the Crusaders and Steely Dan. They also debut new music from their upcoming 2026 album It’s All About Love.
