​Blue Frog Studios is located in the west coast beach town of White Rock near Vancouver, BC. The state-of-the-art concert theatre was designed as a large commercial recording studio that would accommodate an 80-piece orchestra. The studio provides world-class sound and lighting, as well as 4K video and audio recording technology with an unparalleled production team.

OUR STORY
2010
The Beginning
In 2010, new owners Kelly and Juanita opened Blue Frog Studios as THE premier large recording studio in Western Canada. They produced their first "in-studio" concert with Grammy Award winning artist Dan Hill (hit song "Sometimes When We Touch"). Three shows rapidly sold out and they knew that they were onto something. This lead to concerts being produced once per month, then a few times per month, and then weekly concerts. Audiences were thoroughly enjoying the shows in this perfect, intimate venue.
2014
Hopping into live video
The live concert side of the business developed into over 200 concerts per year. Many shows were videotaped and recorded, resulting in studio-quality live concert albums. On April 22, 2014, Blue Frog took another "leap" forward by producing its first world-wide live stream broadcast for Earth Day with San Francisco band Jefferson Starship. Later that year, a full DVD video was produced for AMA Award winning Alfie Zappacosta followed by Canadian rockers 54-40's album, "La Difference".  Blue Frog had now become "the room" for live concert video productions.
2019
Launching Blue Frog TV (now BLUEFROG+)
Live streaming concerts became an integral part of Blue Frog Studios business. Demand for streaming was growing and Blue Frog TV was introduced for fans to enjoy both live and previously recorded concerts online. These shows drew thousands of viewers from around the globe, including upwards of 50,000 fans reached on social networks for a single show. The trend of home theatre viewing fueled the need for ultra-high-quality video streaming.
NOW
BLUEFROG+ Expands
The Covid pandemic of 2020-22 brought a new demand for stay-at-home entertainment. With the assistance of the Canadian Government, Blue Frog TV evolved into a "Netflix-esque" offering, focusing on the U.S. consumer market. Significant technical developments were implemented, as well as a partnership with the premier digital marketing agency, New York-based, Cake-Works. Blue Frog expanded its production team to meet this increased demand. The future for Blue Frog Studios is so bright, they need to wear shades!

Ray Ayotte lovingly restored the 1961 Gretsch house kit pictured here with studio co-owner Kelly Breaks. Most drummers love to show up carrying only their preferred snare and cymbals.

The Boss -- Co-owner Kelly keeps the hits comin'. He makes sure a steady stream of amazing talent is here to perform recording sessions, live shows and video shoots.
Juanita
The Boss-iest -- Co-owner Juanita keeps the Frog hoppin'. This former studio session singer and touring artist loves making the magic happen.
Pat
Musicians know Pat as one of Canada's premier engineers. Two time JUNO Nominee, Pat has engineered albums for Bad Company, Paul Rodgers, Loverboy, Skywalk, Chilliwack & more.
